Accommodation Guide for Queen’s University Belfast
Students from outside of Northern Ireland are assured a room in university-owned housing because many students there choose to live at home and commute. Normally, contracts last 38 weeks, however postgraduates can choose from alternative contract lengths.
The majority of university-owned housing is located at Elms Village, a purpose-built complex of residences that provides self-catered housing with single occupancy rooms in three- to four-room apartments with shared living spaces and cooking amenities.
A recent construction called Willow Walk, which is a part of Elms Village, was made for postgraduate students and international students who might want to host guests.
Townhouses make up the College Gardens neighborhood, which is across from the main Queens Belfast structures. These have been modified to accommodate ten students in single rooms, with a common kitchen, bathroom, and living space.
The least expensive weekly rate for a single room with a common bathroom and kitchen is £110.00.
There is no catered housing available at universities.
